PROJECT OVERVIEW

Tucked into a deep valley of Middle Boulder Creek, the village of Eldora began as a short-lived mining boomtown. Yet it has survived to the present as a summer tourist retreat, particularly for midwestern professionals. Although the portion of the town is already a National Register Historic District, this survey looked at those properties that had been previously overlooked or were not yet 50 years old at the times of prior inventories.
